Karl P. Steiner

Karl Philip Steiner, 56, of Charlottesville, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, in a local hospital.

Born May 8, 1948, in Flushing, N.Y., he was the respectful and loving son of Philip Steiner and June Adele Steiner of Charlottesville.

Karl was a graduate of the New Mexico State University and holds a Master's Degree from the McGill University, Quebec, Canada.

Karl served as a Captain with the United States Army as a Field Medical Officer.  Karl's performance with the U.S. Army Engineers was constantly outstanding and he was cited on many occasions.

Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Leslie June Sidwell and her husband, Larry, of Earlysville and Lynn Louise Boyakin and her husband, Rory, of Sandy, Utah.

A graveside funeral service with military honors will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Culpeper National Cemetery with Elder Lee Brady officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 Thursday evening at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home
