. Services were held Monday April 16, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pate-Jones
Funeral Home in
Senatobia

Miss.
Burial followed in
Magnolia
Cemetery
in Coldwater. Mr. Massey was a retired educator and long time resident of
Tate
County
, Miss. He began teaching during teh 1940's in Olive Branch,
Miss.
after graduating from
Mississippi
College
. He later earned a master's degree in European history from
Louisiana
State
University
and then taught American military dependents in
Europe
for 14 years. Mr. Massey returned to
Tate
County
in 1969. He taught history and social studies in
Independence
and retired as assistant principal. He was a long time member of
Coldwater
Baptist
Church
. He taught Sunday School at
Senatobia
Convalescent
Center
for over 15 years. He is survived by his nephew, James Barar and his wife,
Linda, of
Ada
,
Mich.
, and his niece, Charlotte Ward and her husband, Larry, of
Ft. Payne
,
Ala.
